LiteBlue eRetire: Streamlining Retirement Services

Retiring from the USPS just got easier! They’ve launched eRetire, a handy online tool on the LiteBlue portal. This user-friendly platform lets postal workers manage their retirement plans themselves, making the process smoother and more efficient. Click the button and access the  LiteBlue website

  • When you click the button it will redirect to a page of
  • On this page, you see two boxes
  • Enter your login details. Use your eight-digit Employee ID (found on your paystubs)
  • Enter your USPS self-service password 
  • Once you’ve entered all your details, click the “Login” button to sign in.
  • Find eRetire after logging in, navigate to the “My HR” tab, and wait for the page to load fully.
  • Scroll down to the bottom and look for the “Employee Apps” section. 
  • Click on it, and a list of available apps will appear.
  • Finally, choose “eRetire” from the list of apps to access the service and start exploring your retirement options!

Who is Eligible to Use eRetire?

eRetire is a valuable tool specifically designed for USPS employees who access their information through the LiteBlue online portal. However, to fully utilize its features, you’ll need to meet certain retirement eligibility criteria. Don’t worry, these criteria are clearly outlined on the USPS website or through your local HR representative.

Within 5 years of retirement:

 You start by requesting, viewing, and printing an initial estimate of your retirement benefits. This helps you plan your finances for the future.

Within 6 months of retirement:

As your retirement date approaches, you can not only view and print your annuity estimate but also schedule a counseling session with a retirement specialist to discuss your options in detail. Additionally, you can request a retirement application package to officially begin the process.

Already retired:

Enjoy the benefits of being retired! You can still access monthly updates on your annuity estimate, providing ongoing peace of mind about your financial security.
