New Jersey USPS Truck Fire

New Jersey Postal Truck Fire

At 12:24 PM today, the Frankford Township Fire Department (FTFD) was dispatched alongside Branchville Hose Company #1, Sandyston Township Fire Department Station 38, and Blue Ridge Rescue Squad to respond to a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that a United States Postal Service truck was actively on fire. The crew from 25 Engine was the first to arrive and successfully suppressed the blaze. Following the initial suppression, crews from 25 Engine, 25 Tanker, and 24 Engine 3 conducted a thorough overhaul to ensure the fire was completely extinguished. The vehicle was then turned over to the tow company. All units were back in service approximately 30 minutes after the dispatch.

Latest updates indicate that the postal service truck was carrying several packages and letters, all of which were unfortunately destroyed in the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the local fire marshal, and no injuries have been reported. Local postal services might experience some delays as a result of this incident.
